Artwork Description

I love old buildings and enjoy painting them in bright colours. I feel uplifted looking at them and because they are small can easily be grouped in with other artworks

Artist Bio

Painting is my great love and after an absence of nearly 30 years I tinkered around with Lino Printing, Lino Reduction Printing and Monoprinting.
Charlotte Thorday finally made me see the light , literally, in her class of still life painting ,Jan 2017 .
I then launched into Acrylic painting with a mass of material from my travels to New York City.
My art is a representation of my history of memories. Things that have embedded themselves in my mind through my sense of touch, sight and smell.
It is also a curiosity of people and how I interpret their life. I have a fascination with 'people watching'- What are they doing? Where are they going? What are they going to do ?
In all my art colour and design are what interests me. I love the bounce of colour and creating an interesting design with shapes, forms and especially shadows.
