Artwork Description

Our scene for this painting is on York Street, Sydney, looking towards the Town Hall in the distance and with the QVB on your left. Busy workers and commuters entertain the foreground, as light and shadows play due to the time of day.

Painting is delivered rolled in a heavy duty mailing tube, ready to be professionally framed to suit your decor or space. It is delivered unframed, due to the high risk of glass damage during transport.

Delivered Artwork Unframed Size: 27cm x 36cm
Approximate size once framed: w 53cm x h 63cm

Please feel free to contact me with any queries.

** Framing for watercolours
Framing of watercolour must be completed by a professional framer and be set under glass. The glass gives back this luminous depth to the pigment and also protects the pigment from being damaged by insects and dust. Please ensure the back is properly sealed to ensure the longevity of your work.

** All my works are sold unframed unless otherwise stated. Purchase of this artwork does not include reproduction rights. Artwork cannot be copied or used without the artist’s prior permission.

Artist Bio

Chrysovalantou is an Australian watercolour artist, residing in the inner west suburbs of Sydney. Inspired by her travels, she produces artworks of subjects including: landscapes, street scenes, animals, flowers and seascapes.
Her work is exhibited around NSW, where she has won numerous awards and prizes for her watercolour paintings. Drawing and creating has been since her youth, Chrysovalantou was able to feed this when studying fashion illustration, while completing a fashion design and textiles degree at the Whitehouse Institute of Design.
After 10 years in the industry, "Val" traded the daily graphic drawing for a pencil and paints again and turned her sights to my most admired mediums – watercolor. She was lucky enough to be guided by some of Australia's best watercolour artists, which allowed her to develop her skill to what it is today.
