Claire O'Dwyer - Lives and work in on Sydney Northern Beaches.
I am influenced by many forms, colours , my passion is for bright colours and was influenced by Marimekko designs in the 60's.
After a course of ceramics at School of Art and Design, Darlinghurst. and a course on botanical dyeing, I moved into painting which allows much more expression and of course colour.
There is no set structure in my work I paint what I feel and can go on many different pathways with the joy of creativity it brings.
I have been lucky to travel and see the works of many artists in their environment and how it influenced them which in turn allows me to discover and be influenced by my beautiful location and the nature that surrounds and somehow incorporate that into my artwork.
Some works are true to life others other abstraction but all give much peace of mind and joy to create whatever the form.
