Artwork Description

This piece is a big, bold statement piece, with lots of beautiful texture. The work is completed using unique thickened acrylics and a palette knife application that Claire has been perfecting in 2025: The southern coast of WA is perfect place to inspire this textured and expressive style. The gap at Canal Rocks is a well known tourist destination, to watch huge swells roll and squeeze though the gap and into the canal.

Painted using professional quality paints & varnish.

Artist Bio

Hi and thanks for taking the time to read a little about me. I have always been a creative, starting as a small child. My mother and grandmother where both artists, so creativity was highly encouraged from a soon as I could hold a pencil. Textiles and Fashion where my original passion studying and working in this area I really learnt my colour and design skills. I adore colour and love to create using colour as my inspiration. Bold and Energetic is my overriding style. I use strong colours and big bold brushstrokes to capture the light and energy of my varied topics. Working with both Oil and Acrylic's depending on my mood.

I like to think my portraits are emotive and at times challenging the viewers own senses.
I hope you enjoy my art and follow me to see new pieces.
