Claire Voutsinas has been painting for twelve years and has a love of all styles of visual art and a command of a number of painting mediums.
Her primary works range from impressionist styles of painting to contemporary but she also has a passion for using a range of textures and methods to generate more abstract pieces. Claire has been a student of well-known and recognised Victorian artist (and Bayside Artist of the Year) Vivi Palegeorge for a number of years and has studied watercolour, acrylic and oil under her tutelage. Her oil painting has also been heavily influenced and developed in the past year through lessons with Melbourne 20 artist Peter Smales.
Claire works closely with artist Judy Waters to develop abstract pieces using resin and unique moulding and textural applications.
Her favourite artists include Gustav Klimt and English artist John Constable among many others with a passion for the work of current day British artists Mike Bernard and Chris Forsey.
Claire has participated and sold work in a number of art shows including the Sandy Beach Community Centre art show, Aireys Inlet Art in the Garden, Surf Coast Art Space and Sandy Beach Kiosk exhibition.
