Darkness reveals the light of thought

A collection of contemporary landscapes, inspired by the rolling hills
and majestic boulders of the Daylesford and Guildford area in regional
Northern Victoria.
By exploring the contrast and alignment of colour and shapes, I wanted
to create both a sense of harmony and energy. A re-imagining of the
countryside into my own colour-scape, where the future isn’t
constrained by reality but lit within by purpose and hope.
The collection begins with night. “Darkness reveals the light of
thought”, those random and sometimes annoying thoughts that plague
us in the wee hours. Collecting these thoughts and ruminating on our
life, where we are, and where we want to be we realise our “Life
within shines bright”. Sometimes by giving into those dreams, we can
discover “A world of love and wonder”.
As the sky brightens and the sun warms the earth, our spirits rise.
“Were you the earth, my love” a nod to the ease of our intrinsic love of
the earth, without the heartache of people and emotions.
“Whispers of pleasure, oh the sunrise” beckoning the dawning day, full
of promise. “As sunlight fades, calm befalls us” and we go full circle
and prepare for the night, once again.
