DESCRIPTION

Clara is a western Arrarnta woman from the Hermannsburg Community, 120km west of Alice Springs in the West MacDonnell Ranges. She is currently painting at Many Hands art centre where she is learning to paint watercolour landscapes, inspired by her grandmother’s brother, Albert Namatjira.

Clara paints images of familiar landscapes that she explored with her family as a child. The images usually depict sacred sites or they may be part of a songline, and as such, the description has been withheld by the artist.

This painting needs to be framed or stretched. It’s also being sent direct from the artist at a remote art centre, lltja Ntjarra Many Hands Art Centre, in the remote community of Alice Springs, NT. Please note there is only one mail plane a week that takes the artwork to Alice Springs. The tracking information is then received a week later when the mail plane returns so often the painting are delivered before we receive the tracking information. Please expect a slightly longer wait for this very special artwork to arrive.
