Watercolour on paper

Signed on the back.

This delightfully sunny painting depicts a White Cheeked Honey Eater with Banksia leaves, painted with Winsor and Newton Watercolours and Gouache. The painted surface is a lovely textured paper – Arches 300gsm Watercolour paper, in natural white 100% cotton. I've used professional Winsor & Newton watercolours for an archival quality artwork.

The 30x30cm work has been mounted to a 4cm deep cradle board, sealed with cold wax, and ready to hang with d-rings and wire. The wax protects the watercolour from the elements so it does not need to be behind glass. The wax also gives it a shinier finish, as seen in the photos. For upkeep, it simply needs to be wiped over with a lint-free cloth. The edges are varnished and act as a frame, but it can also be framed with a box frame if you so choose.
