This artwork is mixed media, it has vintage wallpaper, pages from sci-fi novels, comics and other books glued to the canvas to create layered and slightly textured finish, before being overlaid with spray paints and acrylic..

This original Artwork is a continuation of my current series, playfully exploring the merging of Man & Machine, pop culture and cartoons and is a portrait of myself disappearing into machine form.. .

Childhood fantasies of future technology from last century, Astro Boy Cartoons & Robot Comics, collide with the reality of this Century.

Into the future we stride, smart phones in hand, typing all our personal information into Apps, our likes & dislikes, our exact location being tracked by satellites.

The work is a Statement Piece in the Neo Pop / Street Art style, that would create maximum impact to any room.

The work is also inspired by my love of gestural abstraction and my obsession with using spray paint.

Cold Ghost Artworks draw heavily from Street Art, Suburban and Pop Culture, the Artwork is primarily influenced by graffiti. The works are created using Spray Paint and acrylics, which is can then be finished with paint pens, pencils oil sticks, stencils, in fact anything that can make a mark & most of the works have a layered, textured 3D effect with Lumps, Drips, Rips & Scratches becoming part of the finished Art.

ColdGhostArt has been commissioned to produce art in commercial & public spaces both in Sydney and on The Central Coast and has painted many murals in Restaurants, Bars, Retail Spaces & Galleries.
