Abstract Painting on Canvas

This original Mixed Media painting was created by first layering up recycled magazines, posters and vintage wallpapers onto canvas, adding layers of paint to create an abstract street art style palette.

The paint was applied with Rollers Sponges, scrapers, spray packs, Paint Pens, stencils, in fact almost anything but brushes.

Once the Abstract Artwork was created Iconic animation characters and txt were painted over the top, then more layers of paint added.

The artwork is a large Statement Piece that would create maximum impact to any room.

This artwork stylistically is directly influenced by Graffiti in City Laneways and other weathered surfaces.

The work is also inspired by my love of gestural abstraction, cartoons and my obsession with using spray paint.

The work comes on a quality stretched canvas which was painted black around the edges and is ready to hang.

The works are created using Spray Paint and acrylics, which is can then be finished with paint pens, pencils oil sticks, stencils, in fact anything that can make a mark & most of the works have a layered, textured 3D effect with Lumps, Drips, Rips & Scratches becoming part of the finished Art.

ColdGhostArt has been commissioned to produce art in commercial & public spaces both in Sydney and on The Central Coast and has painted many murals in Restaurants, Bars, Retail Spaces & Galleries.

As well as works being sold in London, ColdGhost is also sold in Australia through online galleries and various Retail Outlets.
