Coldghost is a Mixed Media Artist creating works of Urban Pop Art and Abstract Graffiti , these artworks are created using mostly Recycled Street Posters collected off the streets of Sydney, Newcastle and Melbourne.
Creating art on Recycled Paper, but also on other found objects including Timber, Canvas, Cardboard and Fabric.
Cold Ghost Artworks draw heavily from Street Art, Suburban and Pop Culture, the Artwork is primarily influenced by graffiti and street advertising & is created using Spray Paint and acrylics, which is can then be finished with paint pens, pencils oil sticks, stencils, in fact anything that can make a mark.
“Brendans paintings feature Celebrities and Rock Stars, fashion icons and actors, logos, branding and Religion. He often subverts identity and uses his own ORIGINAL brand of humour”..
Many of these artworks also mash up Religious Iconography & also draw on Outsider Art, and subvert Identify and Gender .
Most of the works have a layered, textured 3D effect with Lumps, Drips, Rips & Scratches becoming part of the finished Art.
“I really like old Street Art that is faded and peeling, my focus is often on the edges of these artworks, where one artists piece overlaps another, creating an abstract finish often with faded & peeling gig posters showing through. This weathered, rustic finish is a Big influence on my art practice”

“I prefer up-cycling existing materials, and before becoming a full time artist, i had a successful businesses selling recycled furniture and vintage clothing for 15years. I hate waste and like to create my art using discarded materials, this plays the most important part of my art making practice”
ColdGhostArt has been commissioned to produce art in commercial & public spaces both in Sydney and on The Central Coast and has painted many murals in Restaurants, Bars, Retail Spaces & Galleries.
As well as works being sold in London, ColdGhost is also sold in Australia through online galleries and various Retail Outlets.
