I started my working career as a commercial artist in the advertising and display world before returning to university to study Ceramics. After taking my degree I set up my studio and produced work for the next twenty years but finally that medium progressed to painting. I enjoy painting using an illustrative style which allows me to express some light hearted humour and rampant quirkiness. I like ti use vibrant colours and whimsical characterisations to create images that are fundamentally based on life's experiences. With my Abstract paintings I work with colour structure and a sense of balance and intrigue.
