Artwork Description

I fell in love with this brooding Snow Leopard from a reference photo by Corinne Ammann. He may looked like he's relaxed, but you can imagine whatever he has his beautiful eye on, may be in for a shock.
It was a challenge to create his colourings and markings and I loved every minute of it. I used my favourite medium of coloured pencils on drafting film and both are of the highest quality, acid free and lightfast so will last a lifetime.
This artwork has been drawn using professional coloured pencils on Grafix acid free drafting film. All materials will last a lifetime if framed behind uv glass. Please note that the styled scene, hanging and in situ setting with or without mat and frame is for display purposes only, and is not to scale. *Please note that frame is not included. This is just to give you an impression of how this artwork may look on your wall.

Artist Bio

For me, drawing is nurturing, empowering and a therapeutic escape from the daunting realities of life. From picking up the pencil as a young girl, to escaping into my art in the present, it has become wholeheartedly ingrained in me and part of who I am. I introduce myself as a Representational Artist. While the end result of my creating may seem like realism, it is in fact just a representation of what I have perceived as real.

I have gathered my skills from constant practice, engaging with other artists and experimenting with various techniques. Throughout the years I've discovered my love for the detail I can create using pencils, whether it's coloured, pastel, graphite or charcoal. Pencils allow me to take control of what emerges from my blank surface. Creating an animal or landscape that comes to life is mesmerising, I crave to see what textures, shadows, forms, lines and tones will merge together to create a life-like piece of art. I love hearing from my clients that my art has transported them into the eyes of the subject or they have found peace and happiness just by seeing the work on their wall.
