Colleen was born in Warburton and usually resides in Jameson community. Her mother's Country is around Wanarn and her father's is south of Blackstone, all in the Ngaanyatjarra ngurra (homelands). Colleen often paints Seven Sister's story from her mother's country. Colleen also has family ties to Tjukurla and Kaltukatjara, and visits these communities regularly. Colleen's typically symmetrical compositions employ contrasting shades and concentric linework to convey abstracted aerial impressions of her Country. Colleen was elected a Director of Tjarlirli and Kaltukatjara Art Corporation for 2022 and is looking forward to helping the art centre to grow and be strong
