The Art Prize for All Australian Artists
Over 2300 Australian artists. Australia’s biggest new art prize. Buy them before they're famous and vote in our People's Choice.
The Bluethumb Art Prize is our annual award that aims to raise the profile of Australian artists by supporting, recognising and celebrating their incredible talent and diversity.
The 2018 prize has smashed our inaugural year’s number of entries, with more than double the entries of the Archibald Prize, including many of Australia’s best artists. Building on the overwhelming success of last year’s prize and exhibition, we have doubled the prize money pool and introduced category awards to give more artists the opportunity to step into the spotlight in 2018.
Prizes of $2,000 will be awarded in each of the following categories:
- Works on Canvas Award
- Works on Paper Award
- Photography Award
- Other Media Award
- People’s Choice Award (voted for by the public)
The overall Bluethumb Art Prize of $10,000 will be awarded to the work considered by the judges to be the most outstanding across all categories.
Vote for your People's Choice favourites from our top 100 semi-finalist and be in the draw to win a $500 Bluethumb gift voucher.Vote Now
