Apparitious 002

Apparitious 002 is the second in a group of small portraits titled the Apparitious series. Like a lot of my work these paintings centre around explorations of what I refer to as the illusion of identity. The title itself has been created from the word Apparition.

Inspired by a broad range of artists and techniques, Corpse finds himself most comfortable working within the disciplines of painting and drawing.
Dark in nature, Corpse enjoys a very physical approach to creating art, especially when drawing, often employing a process of strong and vigorous mark making.

Corpse is proudly owned by his Burmese cat.
