Where Light Belongs was inspired by the timeless atmosphere of Italian churches. These spaces hold a silence that feels alive — every sculpture, every stained-glass window is not just an object, but a story frozen in stone. You can sense the warmth of hands that carved them, the devotion of people who once stood here in prayer, in doubt, in search of meaning.

What fascinates me is not only the beauty of the architecture, but the echo of lives that passed through it — those who contemplated the universe, questioned existence, or simply carried their own hopes and struggles into this sacred space. They are gone, but the church remains, holding their presence in its quiet grandeur.

In this painting, I wanted to capture that contrast: the stillness of stone and the fleeting nature of human life, the way light pours through ancient walls as if reminding us that meaning is not distant, but here — in the silence, in the moment, in the space where light belongs.
