Craig Sloss lives a creative double life as a senior lecturer at Queensland University of Technology by day and a passionate visual artist by night. His artistic journey began in school, where he first discovered his love for drawing and developed a deep appreciation for all forms of artistic expression.
In his early years, Craig dedicated himself to drawing, spending several years honing his craft and exploring his creative voice. However, as life’s demands grew more pressing, his artistic pursuits took a backseat, and for 35 years, his drawing materials gathered dust while he focused on other endeavors.
The year 2021 marked a pivotal renaissance in Craig’s life when he courageously reignited his dormant passion for art. With renewed vigor and a mature perspective shaped by decades of life experience, he returned to his first love—drawing. Today, Craig creates distinctive hand-drawn designs that showcase his diverse artistic interests, ranging from the mythical realm of Norse mythology to the breathtaking beauty of Australian landscapes.
This artistic revival represents more than just a hobby; it’s a testament to the enduring power of creativity and the importance of reconnecting with one’s authentic self.
