Artist Bio

Self-learnt Melbourne artist and interior decor specialist Crishmi is stepping into Bluethumb as an emerging mixed medium abstract artist and a sculptor after serving locally in the Melbourne Metropolitan area for the past three years.
By profession, Crishmi has been a social worker with a background in legislative compliance for 25 years in the not-for-profit sector and is currently working in the Victorian State Government.
Although Crishmi's long-term career does not directly involve art and artistry, she believes her creativity is her biggest strength. As a multi-skilled visionary with a specific artistic eye, she notices natural beauty in the objects that surround her every day. She is a naturalist and often chooses to recycle and transform materials into art creations, overlooking the time it takes to achieve what she has in mind. She also continuously challenges herself to find innovative ideas, and her unique handmade products express her passion for designing beautiful living spaces.
