I don’t feel like I have any method to choosing art. For me, as with a piece of music, certain pieces speak to me and take me to a moment in my life that I want to hold in a snapshot. Each of these paintings evoke a separate emotion in me - some due to a place, or time, some for the reminder of a person or single moment, and others purely for beauty, which inspires me to create more.
I have realised that although I mainly paint abstracts, I am drawn to paintings that blur the lines between abstract and realism. Each of these works make me FEEL and for me, that is the key to choosing artwork.
