Bluethumb Art Prize 18 Winners & Finalists

The Bluethumb Art Prize is our annual award that aims to raise the profile of Australian artists by supporting, recognising and celebrating their incredible talent and diversity. The 2018 prize has smashed our inaugural year’s number of entries, with more than double the entries of the Archibald Prize, including many of Australia’s best artists. Building on the overwhelming success of last year’s prize and exhibition, this year we doubled the prize money pool and introduced category awards to give more artists the opportunity to step into the spotlight. 2018 ART PRIZE WINNERS Overall Bluethumb Art Prize: Kim Hyunji, Painless (Luke) Photography Winner: Alice Blanch, A Shifting Stillness #4 Paper Winner: Erin Nicholls, Smoke Canvas Winner: Kim Hyunji, Painless (Luke) Other Media Winner: Illawanti Ungkutjuru Ken, Patupiri Wiltja People's Choice Winner: Kim Hyunji, Painless (Luke)
