Colour Spotlight: Sunshine Shades

Take a day off with this restful and re-energizing beach inspired art work. Layers of neutrals with pops of teal, oranges, deep blue and sunny yellow . Only top quality materials have been used. The sides of the stretcher are staple free and painted in a neutral color.

As always, I painted this piece, by first laying down a tonal underpainting in Acrylic. I chose a warm yellow tone for this, which really glows through the subsequent oil layers. The piece has a lovely, luminous quality as a result.
