Documenting Reality

Documentary photography chronicles notable events and stories happening from around the world. It celebrates everyday life, and has been a catalyst for change throughout history. Many of the most iconic images from the 21st century are from this genre, such as the Napalm Girl. The most notable photographers of the 21st century, such as the founders of the Magnum Photos collective, had a strong passion for the power of documentary. In this curation, we've rounded up our top picks of Bluethumb's documentary photographs. These images range from stories of everyday life to tales of the land we live in.
