For Our Elders _ 1 Denison, North Sydney Exhibition

This year we celebrate 2023 National NAIDOC Week with the theme For Our Elders.
Together with 1 Denison, Bluethumb honours our Elders, both past and present, by showcasing art sourced from Warlukurlangu Artists, the longest-running Aboriginal-owned art centre in Central Australia, and Sydney-based artist Karen Lee Mungarrja, a Wiradjuri (people of the three rivers) artist of the Tubba-Gah clan. Indigenous Art expresses identity, culture and relationship to the country. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders are a fundamental part of our communities; they are our wisdom keepers and the bridge between the modern world and historic Aboriginal culture.
