“Somewhere in Greece” is a contemporary impressionist street scene inspired by a friend’s travel stories — that feeling of turning a corner and being hit by Mediterranean light and colour all at once. Terracotta and cream facades, wrought-iron balconies and fluttering blue-and-white Greek flags frame a lively lane of strolling figures. Loose, energetic brushstrokes and broken colour create a shimmering contrast between deep leafy greens and a slice of bright turquoise sky, while long violet shadows lead your eye down the street. This is an original acrylic painting on stretched canvas (30 x 40 cm / 11.8 x 15.8 in) and it’s ready to hang.
