Each print is like a film still, needing something more tangible than the snapshots on her phone screen. Dallas relives a moment of past travels, through the process of monotype, recalling the texture of the earth, the position of her body in the landscape the temperature of the air on her skin. Then reveals the mood of the light with washes of soft ink.

Born and raised in Broken Hill, NSW; Dallas has always felt a deep connection to her surroundings.
While at art school, Dallas discovered printmaking- a process-driven way of making images- that allowed time to daydream over the possibilities of the works she would create. The work that Dallas generates is a direct response to the landscapes that surround her, where she visualizes ideas of loss and fear through the atmospheric elements of the environment.
