We lived and worked in an outback South Australian mining town and often visited friends nearby who are Opal miners. I can now see why they have a great passion for Opal, the colours are amazing. This one's for them. This was created with layers being added and sometimes scraped back to produce thousands of accidental free form shapes and colours. Hope you love it as much as I do.
With a 25 year background in graphic art and years working FIFO, painting has become my release. Influenced by aerial views and the raw Australian landscape, my abstract work is driven by instinct rather than rules. Each piece begins as a personal response to place, distance, and time, and is shared in the hope it connects beyond the canvas.
