Inspired by colour field painters and colour theory, this dreamy, vibrant piece is designed to energise and create a meditative state of being.
About the Artist:
Dana McGorlick-Appelman is a multidisciplinary artist based in Melbourne, Australia.
Her work explores themes of feelings, fears, personal and collective experiences, and the human condition through abstraction.
Fuelled by an innate urge to create, Dana was inspired to pursue her own creative practice after studying art history at the University of Melbourne.
Drawing inspiration from mid-century artists and the abstract expressionists with a focus on the power and interplay of colour, she aims to create pieces that are contemplative and considered that inspire introspection and peace for the viewer.
