Artwork Description

STORY
Flying over Shark Bay, the landscape below morphs into an abstract masterpiece where the sea meets the land. The tidal inlets weave intricate patterns, creating what looks like a vast turquoise tree rooted in sand and salt. Each branch and curve speaks to the natural rhythm of the tides, drawing out new paths and textures with every wave. As I hover above, the colours blend in shades of aquamarine and white, reminiscent of a painter’s palette. The fluidity and softness of the scene are a reminder of nature’s artistry—a delicate balance that only the sea can create. Standing alongside, you’d feel a sense of calm and awe, witnessing the quiet dance between water and earth, as if the bay itself breathes in time with the tides. This view offers a rare glimpse into the organic beauty of Shark Bay’s tidal landscape, where every line tells a story of water’s journey through sand.
