The storm arrived quickly, darkening the harbour and flattening the light. Lightning traced across the sky in sharp, branching lines, illuminating the clouds just long enough to register their scale before disappearing again.
Below it all, the Sydney Opera House remained unchanged. Its sails caught what little light remained, pale against the deepening blue, holding steady as the weather moved through. The water shifted constantly, restless and dark, but the structure stayed fixed — calm in contrast to the energy above.
As the storm settled in, the scene reduced itself. Sky, water, form. No spectacle, no excess. Just the quiet balance between movement and permanence, where even the most familiar landmark feels momentarily stripped back to its essentials.
