Artwork Description

Flying above Useless Loop in Shark Bay, Western Australia, the salt ponds below form a surreal mosaic. Human-made geometry meets the natural palette of the coast: straight lines and soft gradients of blue, green and white. From this height the landscape reads like a painter's canvas, both industrial and beautiful.

THE PRINT
Archival pigment print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag fine art paper. Limited edition of 15 + 2 AP. Signed by the artist and issued with a numbered, signed certificate of authenticity registered with Art Registry.

SIZE
Image size 76.2 x 76.2 cm (30 x 30 in).
All prints come with an additional 5cm white printed border on all sides, ready for framing, so the full sheet is 86.2 x 86.2 cm.
Other sizes are available. Please enquire.

DELIVERY AND FRAMING
Shipped unframed, rolled in a protective tube. Custom framing in Tasmanian oak, black or white can be added through Bluethumb.

Dani Watson is a Melbourne fine art photographer, printmaker and educator known for atmospheric Australian landscapes seen from unexpected angles: aerial abstracts of salt lakes, ocean pools and sports courts, landscapes lit by the aurora, and Connection, her multi-award-winning series of glyphs of light drawn over real places at night, created for her Master of Arts.

After twenty years in professional sport as a tennis coach and sport scientist, Dani turned to photography, trained at RMIT and completed a Master of Arts in Photography at Photography Studies College, Melbourne. She has worked alongside Ken Duncan, held her solo exhibition Connection at Captured Gallery in 2024, and is the director of IRID Gallery, a fine art photography gallery working between Melbourne and Sydney.

"A photograph isn't a photograph until it's printed." Every print is an archival pigment print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag fine art paper, signed by Dani, with a 5cm printed white border ready for framing. Limited editions come with a certificate of authenticity registered with Art Registry.
