Artwork Description

STORY
I’ve photographed Princes Pier more times than I can count. Each visit feels the same at first—familiar light, familiar lines—but somehow, the image never quite lands the way I hope it will.

This frame is closer than the others. The water settled just enough, the sky moved with quiet grace, and for a brief moment, everything aligned. Yet even now, I’m not sure how I feel about it. There’s something just out of reach, something that keeps me coming back.

Maybe it’s the wrong time of day, or maybe it’s just the kind of place that refuses to give itself away easily. Some locations speak clearly; others whisper, asking for patience. Princes Pier, for me, is one of those places—one that keeps its story close, waiting for the right light, the right moment, to finally reveal itself.
