Artwork Description

'Lost in Nature' depicts a red panda tail within the surrounding forest habitat using abstract textures and layers upon layers to convey the depth of the forest. I chose to only illustrate the tail instead of the entire Red Panda to convey the endangerment of the animal inviting the viewer to think further and question where the rest of the body is. The Shape of the tail also communicates these ‘questions’ resembling the shape of a question mark. Tying the composition together, 3D sculpted Florals and magenta accents communicate the Beauty of Nature

Artist Bio

Emerging Young Artist from the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Australia (Yarra Valley). I love to use art as an escape from life and an outlet to the crazy world of today. I am inspired by nature and the rich tones and textures it beholds. I also love to focus my attention on the creatures that roam it. This challenges me however I love to explore new ways to portray these animals. Exploring all forms of art such as drawing, textiles, sculpture and painting are just a few examples that I enjoy exploring and learning more about. Painting I love especially and is my main medium. I love the freedom it allows while creating texture and soft gradients all at the same time. Exploring all subject matters and styles from abstract to my beloved dogs, I am keen to create anything in which I desire.
