Artwork Description

Taken from the CAN IT BE ALL SO SIMPLE gallery show. A series of nostalgia based pieces with a rich history to the artist. The cohesion of all the artworks was the stylings and use of each medium, intertwined with the distorted lens for life, bright contrasting neon colourings for a dreamy/ hallucinogen affect, tapping into that pineal with a few easter eggs in the artwork

Original artwork on paper a heavy gsm, pictured above is the artwork custom painted framed, but shipping as paper only. Mixed media applications, spray paint, acrylics with brush and pastels to formulate the finished artwork

Artist Bio

Danial Kelly
First Nations Australian
Wodi Wodi / Yuin Nation

Art, in all its forms, is my essence—my passion, my compass. I move through life guided by creative expression, embracing every medium the moment calls for. From expansive murals to intricate paper works, my practice spans styles and scales, ever-shifting with each day.

My work has been exhibited across Australia and the U.S., from Sydney and Wollongong to The Bronx, Montana, and Philadelphia. I’ve had the honour of contributing to album art for iconic artists such as Westside Gunn, DJ Muggs, Cypress Hill, N.W.A., and many more.

At the heart of my work is an invitation—to step into my world, to feel something familiar and warm, to be transported to a simpler time. My goal is always to create, in whatever way I can—representing music, visual art, film, or the preservation and celebration of culture.

Keeping culture alive is not just a practice—it’s an honour and a responsibility. Through storytelling, I share the spirit of my people, bridging gaps in understanding, and offering insight through art and memory.

Come escape with me. Embrace the journey.
Life’s too short not to feel deeply.

With love,
Danial
