Prison of Perception
is a vibrant and abstract piece from the Broken Glasses series, exploring the complexities of mental health, particularly personality disorders and bipolarity. The central figure is depicted with multiple eyes, each symbolizing a different perspective or way of viewing the world, reflecting the fractured nature of perception. Surrounding the figure are sharp, geometric shapes, representing confusion and pain, visually capturing the turmoil of shifting emotional states. The bright neon colours—greens, pinks, and yellows—juxtapose the heavy underlying themes, creating a sense of chaos within beauty. This piece challenges the viewer to confront the dissonance between external appearances and internal struggles

Art, in all its forms, is my essence—my passion, my compass. I move through life guided by creative expression, embracing every medium the moment calls for. From expansive murals to intricate paper works, my practice spans styles and scales, ever-shifting with each day.

My work has been exhibited across Australia and the U.S., from Sydney and Wollongong to The Bronx, Montana, and Philadelphia. I’ve had the honour of contributing to album art for iconic artists such as Westside Gunn, DJ Muggs, Cypress Hill, N.W.A., and many more.

At the heart of my work is an invitation—to step into my world, to feel something familiar and warm, to be transported to a simpler time. My goal is always to create, in whatever way I can—representing music, visual art, film, or the preservation and celebration of culture.

Keeping culture alive is not just a practice—it’s an honour and a responsibility. Through storytelling, I share the spirit of my people, bridging gaps in understanding, and offering insight through art and memory.

Come escape with me. Embrace the journey.
Life’s too short not to feel deeply.

With love,
Danial
