Artwork Description

This artwork was painted by Daniel McCulloch in 2022.

French Kiss is the latest instalment in my collection of work and represents an important piece in the development of my portfolio. The painting is bold, has a commanding presence, and combines the name, colour palette, and composition in a cheeky twist to the observant viewer.

The use of primary reds and blues and shades of each are complimented by accents of white which produce the overall effect intended of the piece. The painting seeks to abstract the image of a set of lips protruding from the horizon in a minimal and reducted way.

The painting has been completed on premium linen & stretched on a heavy duty frame.

All edges are fully painted.

Artist Bio

I'm a contemporary painter specialising in medium to large format abstract artwork. I use a variety of mediums to create abstract compositions that reflect the beauty and complexity of life. My paintings are characterized by hard lines, bold blocks of saturated colour, and intricate geometric compositions. Paintings often feature overlapping geometric shapes, circles, and lines that create an interplay of light and shadow. I strive to express the tension between the seemingly mundane and the extraordinary, creating works of art that challenge viewers to look beyond the surface and find hidden meaning and insight. My goal is to create artwork that is both visually striking and emotionally resonant.
