Artwork Description

Painted in August 2023.

In this painting, I have limited my palette to the three primary colours – red, blue, and yellow – to distill the visual experience to its most elemental form.

Through the precise arrangement of geometric shapes and the use of primary colours, I aim to draw the viewer's attention to the foundational aspects of art itself: colour and form. By isolating these essential components, I encourage viewers to engage directly with the visual language of colour and geometry.

Artist Bio

I'm a contemporary painter specialising in medium to large format abstract artwork. I use a variety of mediums to create abstract compositions that reflect the beauty and complexity of life. My paintings are characterized by hard lines, bold blocks of saturated colour, and intricate geometric compositions. Paintings often feature overlapping geometric shapes, circles, and lines that create an interplay of light and shadow. I strive to express the tension between the seemingly mundane and the extraordinary, creating works of art that challenge viewers to look beyond the surface and find hidden meaning and insight. My goal is to create artwork that is both visually striking and emotionally resonant.
