Equilibrium

This work explores the subtle tension between two adjacent fields of graphite. Though nearly identical, their differing tonal weight creates a shifting sense of depth, as if one surface recedes while the other advances. The rough edges resist containment, allowing the forms to feel both constructed and uncertain.
