Artwork Description

Slot Rock (named changed to protect location) was once my favorite place to surf.
I now live too far away & miss this wave dearly & chose to recreate this place through an old photo I took.
Halfway through creating this work, an absolute tragedy occurred at this very location, making it very hard to finish.

The original hasn't found a home yet,
Giclee canvas prints & custom sizes available,

Note: Due to printing on order, remote living & hand signing each print, up to 2 weeks is required from purchase date until postage.

Artist Bio

Daniel aka 'moth' is a self taught artist that has been honing his skills of painting realistic waves on & off for 30 years, with more focus & commitment in the last 2 years.
These waves & seascapes are created in both oils & acrylics.
When the confines of realism become too structured, Posca Paint Pens get used on Surfboards, Skateboards & canvases to brighten things up & bend the rules on art & reality.
Daniel resides in the tiny rugged coastal town of Elliston South Australia, where he finds more than enough inspiration enjoying the coastal lifestyle while raising his children.
After his successful 'Sea the Moth' exhibition in McLaren Vale in 2023, Daniel is looking forward to more exhibitions, teaching Posca workshops & the potential of painting murals again.
