If you’re reading this bio thank you for your time, I appreciate your interest in my pics. I am an untrained artist. I came to painting later in my life as a therapeutic way to express myself and it quickly became my daily practice. I am not a full time artist and do not have a string of exhibitions or prizes behind me. If you buy one of my paintings you are definitely sponsoring an artist who will really appreciate the support.
I find my art is an expression from somewhere within the subconscious. I purposely do not plan or have a strategy with a painting. I prefer to let the piece dictate itself as we move along. My art invites the viewer to see things from different perspectives. Often the same phrase will will be a complement in a number of bigger phrases and can be seen to be more than one thing. It’s normally wild and busy and can be quite hectic. My biggest challenge is often how to resolve and complete a composition when I have started with no composition in mind! All of my work has a spiritual theme to it. There is often something or someone looking back at the viewer from the scene, signifying the theme of self reflection, or observation on that which is often hidden in our minds.
