As with a lot of my work, this piece explores the beauty and chaos of an anxious and overthinking mind.

This piece is one of a set (its partner is called 'I'm not where you are'. These pieces are not quite a diptych and are listed separately, but they complement each other beautifully. They also look very striking as individual pieces.

I live in Canberra with my beautiful wife, and two fur children (but will always be a West Australian at heart).

Art has been a powerful form of expression for me as I navigate the challenges of anxiety, depression, infertility and loss. Through painting, I have reclaimed joy, and found beauty and light amid the the chaos and sadness.

I feel so much pride and a sense of catharsis as I see each layer come together to embody my thoughts and feelings.
My hope is that others will identify with the emotions I felt as I painted, and will also feel some of that joy and hope emerging from the chaos.
