Artwork Description

I've been reading a lot of faerie fiction lately (just a phase I'm in, don't judge), and it has inspired me to think of magic as just particles we haven't figured out yet. Perhaps the mythology of our past will one day be the technology of the future? Perhaps every idea that I have is manifesting in physical matter in another dimension...

This piece started with an acrylic poured skin, and then built from there, using layers of dots to accumulate layers of perceived conciousness. It feels as if this ethereal creature is breathing a cosmic breath.

The work is on fully sealed wood panel, which has been prepped with multiple layers of sealer and gesso, and then finished off with UV protective varnish, to make the piece as archival as possible.

It is however, recommended that the piece be framed after purchase. A simple float frame would be perfect, and I am more than happy to help organise this at an additional cost if requested.

In Situ photos are not exactly to scale, but they're pretty darn close.
