Into Bliss

This piece is an exploration of the quantum realm. A realm of particles and strange quarks, where all the normal laws of physics just don’t apply. I imagine that each particle echoes the patterns in nature, the universe and the human body, on both the micro and macro scale. Each tiny particle may have their own identity and consciousness, thoughts and emotions.

This primordial particle emerged from an exploratory, playful session with mark making and acrylic pouring, and then evolved into a creature that seems to emerge, yearningly from the abyss, towards the stars, seeking more knowledge and experiences within its transitioning form. This reptilian-like being has been created with a special medium, begging the viewer to run their fingers along the braille-like bubbled texture of it’s skin…

I feel as if this piece is almost like a self-portrait. If only I could paint my life force energy….
Like me, it longs to lean into bliss…..
