Standing among the Altai Mountains the first thought that visits the human mind is that people are absolutely powerless before nature. Temporary control may be possible, but ultimately the fate of all living things is in the hands of nature's mechanisms, which were born with the appearance of the earth and have evolved throughout its history.
In my eyes, this pic is a great way to say it without words. To convey this for sure, I used a slight conflict of colour and space, at the same time giving natural shapes with a mastichin. The technique is that the mountains, the embodiment of the whole mechanism of nature, are presented in a single palette of colours from the same "family" - cold colours - to achieve severity, static and power. Man, on the other hand, is represented by bright, well-distinguished warm colours, but the space he occupies is negligible. This "conflict" provides a basis for reflection on the meaning of the painting.
