Wiradjuri Gooogar :The inspiration for this artwork is Wiradjuri tribe totem being the goanna, called Googar. Symbolisms a warriorโs journey across land through other Wiradjuri clan sites such as rivers, lakes, and camp sites. This knowledge for this type of journey was called Yindyermarra, to go with respect and honour not to bring any shame back or to travel with. The honour of your clan was above all priority and the Wiradjuri like the Googar was king of the bush the most skilled traveler. So, in what may seem too be a Wiradjuri totem we explain the expectation to our young men and women of Wiradjuri, there is no excuse if you have been found not worthy. You been taught our ways of Yindyermarra, and this is above all you do keep Yindyermarra as a Wiradjuri Gooogar.
