Cassia fistula, commonly known as golden shower, purging cassia, Indian laburnum, or pudding-pipe tree, is a flowering plant in the subfamily, Caesalpinioideae of the legume family, Fabaceae. The species is native to the Indian subcontinent and adjacent regions of Southeast Asia. This flower is mainly used in rituals and devotions in Hindu custom were seeing this flower on the very beginning if a day bring prosperity and yellow is the color of good fortune. This is called konnappoo in regional language wherein poo or poovu means flower. This is considered as god Krishna's ornament which he has thrown to a tree converted into these beautiful flowers so it's hanging from tree branches.
