My inspiration is the reflections captured in the chrome and painted surface of classic cars. Modern cars have little chrome, and this reflection is not as prevalent. I use light as the catalyst and how it imparts on the subject matter. When light hits an object, it reflects, refracts, casts shadows and is even absorbed in the object. I focus on how I interpret this light as it reveals colour and form. A trip to Cuba revealed a treasure trove of 50βs and 60βs gems, repurposed for taxi and tourist use.
