Outback Riden in My Pink Cadillac

My inspiration is the reflections captured in the chrome and painted surface of classic cars. Modern cars have little chrome, and this reflection is not as prevalent. I use light as the catalyst and how it imparts on the subject matter. When light hits an object, it reflects, refracts, casts shadows and is even absorbed in the object. I focus on how I interpret this light as it reveals colour and form. I was in the outback town of Roma Queensland, when a flatbed truck drove into the motel parking lot with this gem on it. Perfect subject for my next painting!
