Swan Sentinel

Painted from a photograph taken by the artist. The beautiful Swan River flows through the city of Perth providing, along its banks, beautiful views and a place for activities such as sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding. This view is from the foreshore of the Maylands Peninsula, North east of the city.

David Lloyd Keigwin, Age 57. I have lived in Australia for 20 years, having settled in Perth WA with my Australian family. I originally trained as a graphic artist and have spent the majority of my career designing and illustrating books.
I rediscovered my love of painting in the last few years and recently discovered that acrylics suit my style and interest, allowing me to develop quick, loose and free painting techniques that allow me to echo nature's energy in my paintings.
I recently joined an art group in WA that runs exhibitions that I have been able to enter and this has given me the confidence to seek out more local and national open exhibitions.
I mainly paint landscapes, inspired by the natural beauty of where I live, especially the beautiful Swan River and its surroundings.
