Artist Bio

Thanks for viewing the images that have a special place in my heart. These are the culmination of my passions Art, Nature and Exploration over the last 20 plus years. These explorations were able due to the love of family, friends and special people that could not be forgotten.

As an open minded Explorer, my adventures begin simply along any unplanned path, with Nature as my guide the unexpected image can occur.

“One eye sees, the other feels” Paul Klee.

My passion for Exploration has led me from Horsham to Melbourne, Cairns, Kyneton, Kyogle, Hobart, Launceston and anywhere between. This journey together with my other passion, Art has created the ingredients for my artworks.
Photography has allowed me to express my love of Exploration and Art. In a last minute decsion a future in Biological Science gave way to finding my way into Scientific Photography at RMIT University in 1995.

This experience allowed me to enhance my darkroom and studio skills, whilst entering the digital era with the first version of Photoshop and digital cameras.

Art, Nature and Exploration are the streams that will forever propel me. I’ve been a professional photographer, Horticulturalist, Landscaper, and traveller to most corners of this beautiful country.

I hope that my Art can be a reflection on how magical Australia is and share this with other passionate people.

Regards,
Dave.
